Paris Saint-Germain has finally won its first-ever Champions League title, demolishing Inter Milan 5–0 in the final. One might expect a bittersweet reaction from Kylian Mbappé, who left PSG a year earlier amid tension—but instead, the Real Madrid forward showed remarkable calm and grace, congratulating his former teammates without a hint of resentment.
Respect for PSG’s Achievement
When asked about the result on Saturday, Mbappé displayed no jealousy or bitterness. On the contrary, he praised the team’s achievement.
“I was happy—they deserved it. They went through so many challenges. I lived all the Champions League stages—except the win.”
His tone contrasted sharply with the legal disputes surrounding his departure.
A Dominant, Unstoppable PSG
The 5–0 final stunned the football world. PSG looked clinical, cohesive, and ruthless. Even Mbappé admitted:
“They were the best team in Europe. I don’t remember ever seeing them up 5–0. It’s totally deserved—they’re becoming the team everyone wants to beat.”
A Difficult Exit, But One Without Regret
Mbappé left PSG at the end of his contract, having become the club’s all-time top scorer. But his departure came with a €55M lawsuit over unpaid wages.
Still, the 26-year-old clarified:
“Did I leave too early? No. My story was finished. There was no bitterness—I had reached my limit.”
A Vision Without Regrets
Mbappé insists he always knew PSG would succeed—with or without him.
“PSG winning the Champions League without me doesn’t bother me. It’s a good thing. Everyone faces different challenges in their career.”
His words reflect a mature and professional mindset.
A Stark Contrast to Madrid’s Season
Despite scoring 43 goals across all competitions, Mbappé’s first year at Real Madrid ended in frustration: 2nd in La Liga, Copa del Rey loss to Barcelona, UCL elimination by Arsenal.
Still, he remains unfazed:
“I’ve always embraced the storm. It’s up to me to respond. I’ve turned things around before—I’ll do it again.”
Ballon d’Or: Mbappé Backs Dembélé
Mbappé also weighed in on the Ballon d’Or 2025 race—endorsing Ousmane Dembélé over Lamine Yamal.
“Would I vote for Dembélé? Yes. Do I need to explain? I vote for Dembélé. It’s very clear.”
Dembélé’s season: 33 goals, 15 assists, key to PSG’s treble: Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Champions League.
A Leader Who Owns His Decisions
Mbappé doesn’t shy away from his choices or consequences. He left PSG, sued the club, endured a trophyless season—and still congratulated his former teammates. A picture of resilience and maturity beyond tabloid narratives.
Mbappé: Head High, Eyes Forward
Despite a tough season and tense context, Kylian Mbappé remains true to himself: composed, direct, and ambitious. PSG may have lifted the trophy without him, but he’s already focused on new glory with Madrid.
